Found a matching number? Congratulations! Before you celebrate, follow the steps below so your claim is not rejected over a small mistake.
Step by step
- Check the result on the official sheet and compare the series and every digit of your ticket.
- Keep the ticket safe. It must be whole and undamaged, because damaged tickets are not accepted.
- Sign the back of the ticket and fill in the lottery claim form.
- Attach a government-recognised photo ID and passport-size photographs.
- For a prize up to ₹10,000, go to your distributor, who can pay on behalf of the state government.
- For a prize above ₹10,000, send the claim to the Director, Nagaland State Lotteries, or to the nodal office in your state.
- Submit it within 30 days of the draw date. After verification the payment is normally made within 60 days.
Documents checklist
- The original winning ticket, signed by you
- The completed claim form
- A valid government photo ID
- Passport-size photographs
Tips to avoid problems
- Do not fold, tear or write on the ticket apart from your signature.
- Take photographs of the ticket and the documents before you send them.
- Never share the ticket with someone you do not know. A lost ticket cannot be replaced.
- Be careful about messages that ask you to pay a fee to receive your prize. Real prizes are never released that way.
Not sure if you really won? Use the ticket checker first, then confirm on the official sheet.
